I'd like a program that mimics "Simple Suduko"   but creates Kakuro games instead.

The website for Simple Suduko is (http://www.angusj.com/sudoku/)
See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kakuro for an explaination of Kakuro

The features required:
Button based filtering of candidates.
Keyboard or context menu entry of answers.
Colour markers able to highlight individual cells.
A context menu equal or better than the one in Simple Suduko.
Double-click on cell with one candidate enters candidate as answer.
Solution of "naked singles" available. (Function key or menu choice)
Optional blocking of invalid moves.
User configurable colours for filtering, marking, and puzzle display.
Creates challenging puzzles with 5 grades - from easy to extreme.
'Candidates' automatically update when new values are entered.
Filtering of candidates. (almost essential to visualize advanced methods)
Multi-level undo and redo. (ie all the way back to the start)
Save and load games. (even partially completed ones)
Extensive hints from logical methods. (no guessing)

Puzzle can be resized according to preference.
Multi-language support.
Grid sizes to 30x30
Must run under Windows XP.

At this point, no submissions will be accepted for this project. This will change when the requirements have been vetted by the FOSS Factory community. Please propose changes as desired.

Submission notes:
this is still an early version, but I've come a bit since the beggining a few months ago
This is a linux program, well, the make file is, I assume if you had gtk in windows it would compile fine
GTKakuro.tar.gz    (81383 bytes)    [download]

Reason for rejection:
By your own admission, this submission does not meet several requirements. It seems to be a good base and ran fine under windows, once the libraries were installed. I would encourage you to continue working on it.

Submission notes:
Windows Port!!! Took me a day or so to get everything to link and work correctly. You need the GTK+ runtime libraries form gtk.org ...please let me know if this is the base that you want. I want the bounty just for this, and additional for extra features
GTKakuro.zip    (58979 bytes)    [download]

Reason for rejection:
This submission does not meet several requirements. There is no context menu, no candidate filtering, no colours. It is a good base but more nees to be done.
what exactly more do I need? by Noxz on Thu, Nov 27, 2008 @ 15:52 EST (4 replies)
what exactly more do I need?
What do you mean by context menu?
the colours for the selected box are easily changed...you want to highlight a full row/column with a varriation of colours?
I can add a randomize puzzle function
Candidate filtering means what, hints? currently this is not a mouse game, it's a keyboard based game, so implementing hints may take the most time out of all of these features.
